Community-Investor Negotiations Guides: Improving Local Communities and Local Leaders Capacity on Land Use, Rights and Investors Relation

The project objective is to promote land rights and inclusive participation of community in investment. The main activity is to empower the community to participate in sustainable land development. The project uses the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment (CCSI)—Namati Guide for Communities as a tool to promote sustainable land development in investment.

The project is in its initial stage of implementation and is funded by Columbia Law School. Himiza Social Justice participates in this project as a service provider and will establish a community-based reading platform in Nyarugusu Ward of Geita to sensitize community members for future use of the guideline.
