BJ McDuffie is a contracted Senior Analyst for the U.S. Department of State’s TechCamp Program in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). Prior to this role, she served as a Public Affairs and Recruitment Specialist in ECA for the Fulbright Program. Before her work with the U.S. Department of State, BJ worked as a Consultant at the UNESCO Forum on Higher Education Research and Knowledge, and as a Communications Officer at FHI 360 (Formerly AED). While working on her MA in Paris, BJ served as an English Teaching Assistant for two academic years in French primary schools through the French Department of Education.
BJ holds a Certificate in Book Publishing from the CUNY Publishing Institute, a B.A. in Media Studies from Hunter College, and an M.A. in Global Communications and Civil Society Development from the American University of Paris. She has served on boards and in advisory and volunteer roles for organizations including Global Kids-DC, Streetwise Partners, the American Red Cross, and No Kid Hungry.
